Make a step challenge fair for everyone
When one person walks 12,000 steps a day and another walks 4,500, a normal challenge is over before it starts. Give everyone their own target instead.

2Everyone stretches 15%
Everyone aims the same percentage above their own usual day.
3Score by percentage
Whoever beats their own target by the most wins.
Questions
Why not just count total steps?
The most active person usually wins before day one. Percentage scoring gives everyone a real chance.
Does this work for teams?
Yes. Average each team's scores so bigger teams do not win just for being bigger.
